The words from the story become threads that weave their way through my illustrations,
creating a tapestry of textures.
The brushes I’ve developed offer another layer of interest, helping give my work a distinct look.
The paintings are created in the traditional manner,
except my Mac is the canvas, and the paint is provided by Adobe Illustrator.

Most of my images are available for stock purchase,
or for about the same price I will create a custom illustration.

I don't know exactly when I started adding words to my paintings, but at first it was just a word or two. Something hidden that only the most visual could see. Very subliminal.

It wasn't until I started painting with Adobe Illustrator that it really took off, and now it's a constant in my work. Sometimes just a word or two, written over and over to create a texture. Sometimes a line or two, used as a line or two. You might be able to read some of it, but it really doesn't matter. When you see the painting from a distance, it's the texture created that's important.

It was a challenge writing about my paintings, but somehow it seemed like the next step. I'm not sure where this will take me, but you are invited to come along for the ride.

Funny how things work out. I was in mymac dealer store on 11 Ave SW in Calgary, and I got to talking to Curtis about what I do and how I do it. He said that it sounded really interesting and thought that readers of a magazine called ibusiness would be interested, and asked if I would write an article for the next publication. Issue #5.
